From 11th to 15th of November, Polish Film Festival is coming back to Rome with the IV edition of CiakPolska in collaboration with RIFF. A tribute to Andrzej Wajda and the screening of “Quo Vadis” in a literary event. During 5 days, there will be two sections, where the audience can learn about some of the most representative authors of the new generation of filmmakers and watch the 14 movies of great masters of Polish cinema including feature films in competition, short films and classics of the past. Screenings of the New Polish Cinema section will take place at the Casa del Cinema, and those of the Classic Cinema section in the Polish Institute.

The film director, Andrzej Wajda, who has passed away recently, will be honored at the opening night of the festival with the screening of an interview called “A single scene/Ashes and Diamonds” conducted by Michał Chacinski, who has made this talk with the great master of Polish cinema. After the screening, there will be a meeting with the critics, Michał Chacinski and Federico Pontiggia, who will speak about the cinema of Wajda and the heritage he has left for us.
