SYNOPSIS
Valentina lives and works in the same place. She can’t turn back. She waits. Valentina has nothing in common with Carlo. She is a 34 years old moldovian woman, inItalywithout residence permit, mother of three children, owner of a under construction house that she has to pay. He is a 88 years old rugged and grumpy partisan, used to fight against everything and everybody, curious about life but at the mercy of a lacking memory and a weak body. A dark ground floor of Pesaro’s outer city joins them. Valentina and Carlo are different, stranger but absolutely necessary to one another. Months, hours and minutes are passing slow and muffled, far form the swarming mass of the city and gone unheeded by the other people passing on the street. The walls of the little apartment contain their coexistence, only sometime lighted through the windows, and life goes on through silences, quarrels and misunderstandings. At the same time their relation shows the signs of a deep solitude that they fill looking for one another, accepting their situation as necessary and beginning to consider themselves as members of the only family they can have at moment.
